The Tomb Raider, title with which the new movie adventure franchise starring Lara Croft character is known, already has a release date set, which will take place on March 16, 2018.
Warner Bros. and MGM, co-producers of the film, have dated the film for the above date, so you have to wait over two years for its premiere on the big screen. The company GK Films acquired in 2011 the trademark rights of Square Enix Ltd. and acts as producer.
Concerning the cast, only known that the actress Alicia Vikander be responsible for giving life to the young Lara Croft. On the other hand, the direction of the film is taken up by Roar Uthaug.
